Family Fun Fest

 June 26, 2016, 1 to 4pm
Pawnee City Historical Society Museum

Humanities speaker Cherrie Beam Clark will present a program at 1:00 p.m. called “Promise in a New Land”. At 2:00 p.m., we will hold an “Old Time School” in the Crackerbox Schoolhouse (and again at 2:45 if there are enough children to attend). There will be scavenger hunts for children and parents during the afternoon. Old Time Games for the children will be available throughout the day, and root beer floats and cookies will be sold in the afternoon.

Historical Days

September 23-25, 2016 
Pawnee City Historical Society Museum

Civil War reenactors will depict the Battle of Chickamauga. On Saturday morning, a Civil War dedication ceremony will be held at the Pawnee City cemetey. The Historical Museum gates open at 10:00 am that day, and events begin at 11:00 a.m. Attractions will include a Humanities speaker, demonstrations, and a Candlelight Tour at dusk on Saturday. On Sunday, the Museum gate opens at 9:00 am, with church in the chapel, along with demonstrations and the Battle of Chicamauga. The Museum buildings will be open both days.
