Appleton

Former station on the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy railroad. Located at Sec. 8 TN3 R12 in Table Rock precinct according to one map. According to Pawnee County Genealogical Map was located at 5-3-12 SW 1/4 SW 1/4. Named for the many apple orchards nearby. Information collected by Mrs. Jeanette Miller Ulmer. Ed Bredemier gave the locations of the ghost towns of Pawnee County Promotional Network to use on a placemat of ghost towns and cemeteries.
